CRRC SHANDONG CO., LTD. (previous name: Jinan Railway Vehicles Equipment Co., Ltd.)(hereafter CRRC Shandong) one of the wholly-owned subsidiaries of China CRRC Corporation Limited, was founded in 1910, known as one of the earliest railway equipment companies in China. CRRC Shandong has experienced the history of repairing and manufacturing steam locomotives, coaches and wagons. CRRC Shandong has become one modern integrated enterprise with diversification, and science and technology innovation, covering railway freight wagon, wind power equipment, steel structures, environmental protection products and intelligent machines. CRRC Shandong has become the key enterprise for wagon manufacture, advanced wind power equipment R&D base, large scale steel structure manufacture with special grade, the only one toilet system R&D manufacture for railway coaches in China, one leading enterprise for vacuum drainage system, and the professional enterprise for thread assembly, owning the capability of manufacturing 10000 wagons per_year, 1500 sets of 1.5—6MW wind turbine generators, 300 000 ton large scale of steel structure products, 6000 sets of toilet systems for railway coaches. CRRC is national top standard enterprise for safety and quality, provincial technical center, and Shandong provincial innovative pilot enterprise, and high-tech enterprise, intellectual property pilot enterprise in national enterprises and public institutions.
CRRC Shandong has been awarded the certificates for IS09001. ISO 14001, OHSMS18001, IRIS. EN 15085, owns the qualification of manufacturing types of Chinese Railway freight wagon; TSI, TPED, RID certification of European Union freight wagon and bogie; owns the CRCC and China Classification Society certificates for steel structure, pressure container, crane, vacuum toilet and sewage system; has wind power model certificate.
CRRC Shandong has researched and developed types of general and special top open wagons, flat wagons, tank wagons, hopper wagons, covered wagons and special vehicles. Some wagons have been exported to more than 30 countries such as France, Poland. Turkey, India, Vietnam, Myanmar, Sudan and Nigeria. CRRC Shandong is the first company awarded TSI and TPED/RID certificates, and has the Qualification to export products to 27 European countries and 45 RID countries.
