Local time On November 8, CRRC and HUPAC signed a supply contract in Chicasso, Switzerland. In the next two years, CRRC will provide HUPAC with container transport railway wagons and will also be responsible for obtaining TSI (Technical Specification for Interoperability) as well as the registration work of wagons in Swiss Federal Department of Transportation. The design, manufacture and certification of the railway freight wagons will be borne by CRRC Shandong, a subsidiary company of CRRC. This is the first time that CRRC entered into Switzerland.

After the signing ceremony, the two sides held talks on cooperation in the fields of maintenance and lease of locomotives and reached a consensus. Having been exported to France, Poland, Germany and the United Kingdom , the railway freight wagons of CRRC Shandong again entered the markets of European developed countries.

The Swiss company HUPAC is a well-known international logistics company, which ranked the top three European logistics companies. With its active participation in the great practice of China's "One Belt and One Road",  HUPAC has cooperated with domestic chemical companies in launching the "Xinjiang- Europe- Mediterranean sea" international freight export trains. This move has allowed Europe to integrate with the multi-modal transport network in mainland China for transporting goods from China to all parts of Europe.
